About

One Tap Group builds companies, runs them on shared playbooks, systems and technology, and partners with operators who bring us an opportunity. This page explains the model, and how today’s companies fit inside it.

The group’s model

Three jobs sit behind every company in the group.

  1. Build

We start a company from a specific problem we can see up close, and we build the first working version ourselves. We put it in front of real customers early, because a rough version that works teaches us more than a polished plan.

  2. Operate

We run the companies we start. Each one uses the same playbooks, systems and technology as the others. What one learns in the field is available to all of them, so a new company doesn’t begin from nothing.

  3. Partner

We partner with operators who bring us an opportunity. They know the problem, we bring software, marketing and operating experience, and together we decide what’s worth building and who contributes what.

How the group fits together

In our structure chart, solid lines show the companies inside the group, and dashed lines show who each company serves. Retail partners, client businesses and furniture professionals are independent businesses: they run on our tools and work with us, and they stay their own.

The chart describes where the group stands today. It can gain branches as new companies start, and we’ll add them when they’re real.

How today’s companies fit

Inside furniture retail, One Tap Commerce and One Tap Media work as a loop, and the loop is how we’ve proven the model.

  1. Build

One Tap Commerce turns what stores actually need into software, starting with the problems our partners run into on the sales floor.

  2. Grow

One Tap Media brings in the customers. When a client runs on One Tap Commerce, the platform also records where each customer first came from and what brought them back.

  3. Prove

We test ideas in working retail businesses, where real customers, staff and inventory tell us quickly whether something holds up. Best Buy Furniture was the first business to run on One Tap Commerce.

What one company learns in the field, every company can use.

Shared foundations

Every company in the group draws on one set of playbooks, systems and technology. That’s what lets a new company start with a working foundation, and what lets the existing ones improve together.

The track record page shows what that looks like in client work.
